The Cursillo Movement has been active in the Catholic Church for nearly 70 years. It has touched the lives of millions of Catholics worldwide. It is referred to as a movement in that it helps you to deepen your walk with Christ through prayer, study and action. It begins with an incredible 3 day retreat and offers fellowship, prayers meetings, and a community of like minded Catholics who are encouraged to continue in the movement for the rest of your life...which is referred to as the "4th Day". It is also the "model" organization for many other Christian groups such as Marriage Encounter and the Catholic high school retreat named Kairos. St Mel has an active group of "Cursillistas" who are always there to support the church and encourage those who want to revitalize their faith.
